How to Remove 3M Tape Residue Without Damaging Surfaces

So you took down your frames or decorations, and now there’s sticky residue left behind. Here’s how to clean it up properly.

The safe method:
1. Peel off as much as possible by hand
2. Use mild soap and warm water first
3. If that doesn’t work, try cooking oil or baby oil
4. Wipe clean with a damp cloth

For tough residue:
– Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) works great
– Goo Gone is another option
– Always test on a small area first

What NOT to use:
– Sharp tools that can scratch surfaces
– Harsh chemicals on painted walls
– Excessive force that damages finish

Prevention tip:
When applying tape initially, press it down firmly and wait 24 hours. Also, remove items carefully – don’t yank them off.

Our 3M tape is designed to remove cleanly when done right. Take your time and be patient.
